The United States and rest of the world are experiencing the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. This reality has seriously affected the ordinary citizen's budget, who presently struggles to responsibly pay their debts. Maybe you are one of these people.

FirstBank understands and is attentive to this reality. Our wish is to lend you a helping hand to look for a solution that allows you to continue paying your mortgage and keep your property.

We are pleased to inform you that you could qualify to participate in FirstBank's new mortgage modification program, which will allow you to reduce considerably the amount of your monthly payment. Each case is different and our officials must evaluate it upon satisfying the minimum eligibility requirements such as:

The mortgaged property must be your main residence.
Your present mortgage monthly payment must be higher than 38% of your monthly gross income.
You must have an income that allows you to pay the new modified (reduced) monthly payment.

To apply for this Program, you must submit to us, as soon as possible, the following (herein enclosed) documents:

A family budget worksheet
An update information form
A credit report authorization sheet
Evidence of your monthly gross income (copy of your pay stub, copy of certified income tax return, and any other income evidence, if applicable).
Copies of water, electric power or phone bills of your residence
A letter detailing the reason or cause for the arrears
